Dr Michail Vourvachis (He/Him)

Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Gender-Affirming Specialist

Dr Vourvachis specialises in chest surgery, body contouring, and facial procedures, including facial feminisation and masculinisation.

He has undertaken specialist training in both Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery and is one of a small number of surgeons in the UK to hold both a medical and a dental degree.

Gender-affirming surgery forms a significant and established part of his clinical practice. He works within experienced multidisciplinary teams and has trained under recognised leaders in the field. He is registered with the WPATH and remains actively engaged in ongoing education, research, and international conferences related to gender-affirming care.

His approach is thorough and patient-centred, with careful attention to safety, function, and outcomes that are thoughtfully tailored to each individual’s goals, anatomy, and overall wellbeing.

Dee has over six years’ experience working within gender-affirming surgery services.

She began her career as an intensive care nurse and later moved into management and service development roles, spending the past several years working exclusively within gender-affirming surgery services and supporting complex, multidisciplinary surgical pathways.

Her experience in gender-affirming care extends beyond operational coordination and includes involvement in professional education, clinical discussion forums, and research-informed practice. She has presented at WPATH and has trained healthcare professionals in gender-affirming nursing care and best practice.

Dee coordinates care between patients, consultant surgeons, and private hospitals, acting as a consistent point of contact and ensuring each patient’s journey is structured, seamless, and supported throughout.
